Scope and Content
M B Sharman is a direct descendant of George P Livius, whose house – later known as ‘Grove House’ - is depicted [See X 67/127].
The illustrator is not known but is presumed to be a member of the Livius family. The picture went to Norfolk via GPL’s daughter Maria D Livius who married the Reverend J Johnson of Yaxham in Norfolk. The description ‘Bedford House’ may be erroneous or refer to the previous name of the house. [House was at top corner of St Cuthberts & St Peters Street, going into Goldington Road]
