    Reciting By an Indenture of 1 Nov 1892 between John Barber Lindsell and his wife Flacilla Matilda Lindsell on the one part and William Hooper Matthews of the other part, the piece or parcel of land hereinafter described (a) was appointed and conveyed to the use of William Hooper Matthews in fee simple by way of mortgage for securing payment of £2000 and interest. By an Indenture of Transfer dated 21 July 1898 between William Hooper Matthews of one part and Frederick Raymond Barber Lindsell of the other part the said sum of £2000 and interest were assigned to Frederick Raymond Barber Lindsell and the hereditaments comprised in the indenture of Mortgage were conveyed to Frederick Raymond Barber Lindsell in fee simple subject to such right or equity of redemption by virtue of the said mortgage. John Barber Lindsell made his will 7th November 1894 where he appointed Frederick Raymond Barber Lindsell, Major John Jervoise of the Royal Engineers and John Henry Ewart and Thomas James Hooper as executors and trustees. Directed that all monies outstanding at the time of his death which might be charged on his lands and hereditaments be paid for out of his personal estate. John Barber Lindsell died on 7th May 1898, his will was proved 24th August 1898 by (i), (John Jervoise having died in the lifetime of the testator). Indenture of reconveyance made 12th December 1899 between Frederick Raymond Barber Lindsell of the one part and John Henry Ewart and Thomas James Hooper of the other conveyed, subject to the powers and provisions of the will of John Barber Lindsell, to (ii) the land described in (I) for the price of £225. Operative Part This indenture witnesseth that in pursuance of the agreement and in consideration of £225 (i) convey unto (ii): a) all that piece of land containing 1 rood and 25 perches situate on the W. of Drove Lane in Biggleswade, abutting a piece of land formerly called Boddington Piece and bounded on the N. by property of Wells and Winch Ltd, on the E. by Drove Lane, on the S. by the roadway hereinafter referred to, and on the W. by other property of (i) as shown on the attached plan. a) transferred to (ii) his heirs and assigns or other owners and occupiers along with the right to pass along the roadway 12 feet wide (see plan) to hold the said premises in fee simple. (ii) also agrees to erect and maintain good and sufficient fences on the N. and W. sides between the points marked AB and BC on the plan. (ii) will also erect and maintain two gates at the points marked D and E on the plan at the east and west ends of the roadway. (i) acknowledge the right of (ii) to production of documents of title as outlined in the following Schedule (I): (I) Indenture of Settlement made 9 Jul 1876 made between John Lindsell of the first part, Harriet Lindsell of the second part, John Barber Lindsell of the third part, Flacilla Matilda Bell of the fourth part and Frederick Raymond Barber Lindsell of the fifth. Indenture of Release made 30 Sep 1881 between Harriet Lindsell of the first part, John Barber Lindsell and Flacilla Matilda Lindsell his wife of the second part, Elizabeth Ann Barber Lindsell of the third part and the said Frederick William Seward, William Foote, Henry Barber Lindsell and Frederick Raymond Barber Lindsell of the fourth part and John Barber Lindsell of the fifth part.
