    Wrest Park Estate. 'State of circumstances relating to estates purchased under the trusts in the Duke of Kent's will'. [Henry Grey, 1st Duke of Kent, died 1740]. By this will [proved 1740] the Herefordshire estate was to be sold and the proceeds laid out in estates within 20 miles of Bedfordshire, settled to the uses of the marriage settlement of the Earl of Hardwick and the Marchioness Grey, 26 June 1736. Various estates were purchased between 1752 and 1770, and in 1772 conveyed to new trustees; and from 1772 to 1775 houses and lands in Silsoe (including the Bell Inn), Maulden, Clophill and Pulloxhill were added. These estates are now to be conveyed to the uses of the entitled parties.
