Title
Dunstable; ‘Gravestone in the middle aisle of Dunstable church, Bedfordshire. Scale, 3 inches & a half to a foot. Fisher delt.1804’. Here lyeth the body of Richard Fynche citizen and marchauntaylor of London: Being a bachelor of the age of 81 years or there about who deceased ye 12 day of January A.D. 1640 the sonne of Thomas Fynche and Elizabeth his wife which Elizabeth departed the second day of August A.D. 1607 and the said Thomas deceased the 26 December A.D. 1586’. Three adults depicted in Elizabethan or Jacobean dress, with eight smaller figures below [Children?] and surrounded by coats of arms and an epitaph. Larger format watercolour by Thomas Fisher.
