...to be buried in St.Paul’s Church near his father, Gyles Lawrenc’; ...to repairs of great bridge in Bedford 40/-; ...to Edward Lawrenc’, son of testator’s cousin Geoffery Lawrenc’, and heirs, messuages etc. in Harrold, paying to testator’s brother John Lawrenc’ £6 13s 4d for life; ...to wife Agnes all those his closes with the houses lately built therin in Clapham which he bought of Mr.Leonard Fitzgeoffrye, for her life, remainder to cousin Edward Laurenc’ and heirs for ever, paying within 6 weeks after death of wife £120 to testator’s brother Nicholas and his children; ...to wife Agnes house in Bedford where testator now lives; ...to cousin Thomas Laurenc’ son of Richard Lawrenc’ £40 to be paid by cousin Edward Lawrenc’ ...to cousin Edward Lawrenc’ and heirs 3 shops in the Netherend of the Bucherowe in Bedford in the occupation of several men, together with the chambers over the same, which the testator lately purchased of Henry Myllward alias Smyth of Bedford; if Richard and William Skelton of Bedford, bakers, do not pay to executors £20 at Michaelmas 1589, then house where Richard lives which is mortgaged to testator to go to wife Agnes.
