In confinement 27 January 1877 to 5 April 1877. Tried and imprisoned by civil power for felony, 6 April 1877 - former service forfeited on conviction. Discharged on 1 May 1877. Description entered from attestation: born Luton, enlisted at age 18, labourer, height 5' 5 1/4", fresh complexion, grey eyes, dark brown hair. Character reported by the Regimental Board to be very bad.
