    reciting feoffment by i) to ii) of... a messuage in Bedeford between tenement of William Gotherstok’ and tenement of the lord of le Bayows COVENANT by Thomas Ferour that Joan shall have in the said messuage for the term of her life the use of the principal room, or another if she prefers it, with free entry and exit, and sufficient food, fire and candles and other necessities, and a gown every two years. Thomas to find a suitable chaplain to celebrate in St.Paul’s, Bedeford, for the souls of Joan, William Ferour and all benefactors, and all the faithful departed. ii) and heirs to keep the house in good repair Witnesses: John Tunstall then mayor of liberty and viilage of Bedeforde, John Fynch and Thoams Hunte, bailiffs, Roger Tunstall, John Nuell, John Denys, John Lyttelbery and John Blake of Bedeford
