reciting feoffment by i) to ii) of... a messuage in Bedeford between tenement of William Gotherstok’ and tenement of the lord of le Bayows COVENANT by Thomas Ferour that Joan shall have in the said messuage for the term of her life the use of the principal room, or another if she prefers it, with free entry and exit, and sufficient food, fire and candles and other necessities, and a gown every two years.
