    Removal Order for Phoebe the wife of Eli Betts and their two children Elizabeth aged 3 years and Charles aged 1 year. Removed from Yielden to Higham Ferrers in the County of Northampton. Certificate of Chargeability by Bedford Board of Guardians stating that Phoebe the wife of Eli Betts and their two children Elizabeth aged 3 years and Charles aged 1 year had become chargeable on 21st July 1846. Signed Charles Longuet Higgins, Chairman, and Samuel Wing, Clerk. Information and complaint of Richard Claridge, Overseer of Yielden requesting the removal of Phoebe the wife of Eli Betts and their two children Elizabeth aged 3 years and Charles aged 1 year as they were chargeable to the parish but had no settlement there. Examination of Samuel Wing, Clerk to the Bedford Board of Guardians: I now produce an order bearing date 20th April 1844 under the hands and seals of Samuel Goodson Adey Esq and Rev. William Shove Chalk two Justices of the Peace for the County of Bedford for the removal of Eli Batts, Phoebe his wife and their two children namely Joseph aged 3 years and Elizabeth aged one year from Yielden to Higham Ferrers as the place of their legal settlement. The said order was duly executed and there was no appeal against the same.
