Documents relating to C.S.M. Edward Hutchinson, who served in the Bedfordshire Regimentt, 1895 - 1919, and died in 1927. The items are owned by his son who also has the Queen Victoria chocolate tin and the Princess Mary tobacco tin (1914) which are given to the troops. Photocopies made 15th May 1991.
Edward Hutchinson was also awarded the following medals; all are named to 5373 E. Hutchinson or Hutchison:
Queen's South Africa. Private, Mounted Infantry, Bedfordshire Regiment. Bars: Relief of Kimblerly, Paardeburg, Johannesburg, Wittenberg, Diamond Hill, Driefontein.
King's South Africa. Bars; 1901 and 1902. Corporal
1914 star with bar. Sergeant.
Victory and war medals. Sergeant
Distinguished conduct medal. C.S.M.
Long service & good conduct. George V. Sergeant
