    Removal Order for Henry Darlow Removed from Odell to Offord Darcy, County of Huntingdon. Certificate of Chargeability by Board of Guardians of the Bedford Union stating that Henry Darlow, had been chargeable to Odell from 27th February 1845. Signed Charles Longuet Higgins, Chairman & Samuel Wing, Clerk. Examination of Petrer Whitmee, Overseer of Odell, stating that Henry Darlow was inhabiting in the parish without a legal settlement there and requesting their removal. Examination of Peter Whitmee of the parish of Odell: I am one of the Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Odell in the County of Bedford. I produce from the parish chest of the said parish of Odell in my custody as such Overseer a Certificate in writing dated 15th Septemer 1794 directed to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Odell under the hands and seals of Samuel Knighton, Churchwarden, and George Farey, Overseer of the Poor of the Parish of Offord Darcy in the County of Huntingdon attested by John Marshall and Thomas Inglesby as witnesses and purporting to be allowed and subscribed by Lanc. Brown and Ric,Reynolds two Justices of the Peace of the County of Huntingdon being a certificate of acknowledgement of William Darlow, Ann his wife and William and Robert their children as inhabitants legally settled in the said parish of Offord Darcy. Settlement Certificate as mentioned above [15th September 1794] Examination of Henry Darlow taken on Oath at Bletsoe: I am about 27 years of age and have done no act to gain a settlement in my own right. I am the person mentioned in the certifcate of chargeability. Examination of John Darlow of the parish of Odell in the County of Bedford, Blacksmith: Henry Darlow now present is my son by my wife Rebecca formerly Rebecca Savage, spinster, the issue of our marriage solemnized at the parish church of Odell in the County of Bedford on the 26th December 1817. I have done no act whereby i could gain a settlement n my own right. Examination of William Darlow of the parish of Odell, blacksmith: I am about 78 years of age. John darlow the last witness is my son by my late wife Ann formerly Ann Carrington, spinster, the issue of our marriage solemnised in the parish church of Sharnbrook fifty seven years last July. On or about 15th September 1794 I procured the certificate in writing now produced bearing same date directed to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Odell in the County of Bedford under the hands and seals of Samuel Knighton, Churchwardsn, and George Farey, Overseer of the Poor of the Parish of Offord Darcy in the County of Huntingdon attested by John Marshall and Thomas Inglesby as witnesses and purporting to be allowed and subscribed by Lanc. Brown and Ric. Reynolds two Justices of the Peace of the County of Huntingdon whereby it is acknowledged that I my wife and my sons William and Robert are legally settled inhabitants of the said parish of Offord Darcy. WHich certificate I delivered to the Overseers of the parish of Odell immediately afterwards when I arrived to reside in that parish and accordingly from that time to this I have dwelt in the said parish of Odell under the same certificate and I have not nor have my said sons to the best of my knowledge and belief done since the said certificate any act whereby to gain a settlement in the said parish of Odell or elsewhere. My said son was born after the date of the said certificate. Memorandum stating copies of the above sent to the Overseers of Offord Darcy 15th March 1845.
