- Scope and ContentCertificate of removal for Ruth Hart, singlewoman, from Isleworth, County of Middlesex, to Biddenham. Order suspended as Ruth Hart unable to travel due to sickness and infirmity. Settlement examination of Ruth Hart, singlewoman, at present residing in the Union Workhouse, Isleworth: I am a singlewoman and now chargeable to the parish of isleworth in the County of Middlesex and am now actually receiving relief food from the aforesaid parish of Isleworth. The parish of Biddenham in the County of Bedford is the place of my last legal settlement by reason that 12 years ago on or about 7th March 1832 I went to live asa a hired serveant to Major Eyre Evans Kenny as nurserymaid at the yearly wages of nine pounds. I lived with my said Master two years under such hiring. My said Master was then living and residing in the said parish of Biddenham in the aforesiad County of Bedford and I boarded and slept on my said Masters premises in the aforesaid parish of Biddenham one whole year and upwards. I have never since gained any other settlement in my own right. Reported to us two of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace of the same County with Petty Sessions held this day at the Three Pigeons in, New Brentford, Middlesex 7th September 1844. Certified that Ruth Hart unable to travel by reason of sickness to attend Petty Sessions to be examined Thomas Twinning.
