    Roll no. 79 Willington View of Frank Pledge with Court, held there on 22nd day of September in the eleventh year of the reign of our lord Charles, by the grace of God, King of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, one thousand, six hundred and thirty five Henry Earl of Kent, Oliver Luke knight, Thomas Winn and the fraternity of the Holy Trinity of Blunham are Tenants of this manor and owe suit to this court and made default on this day. Therefore each of them is at mercy. Also they present that John Humfrey of Mogerhanger encroached on the lord’s demesne by ploughing on Linnells Also they present that William Thomas of Mogerhanger has encroached into the lord’s demesne by ploughing on the Furlonge against Stonecrose Also they present that encroachment is made by some inhabitants of Cople on the Road called Smaleway [The following is shown as written in the document] Item yt is Ordered and agreed Upon by the homage that it shalbee Lawfull for the Farmers to Laie a field for theire plowe Cattell for a fortnight after Harvest is in and hee that shall Offer to putt or keepe any other Cattell there shall forfeit for every offence soe offending vs [5s] Item yt is further Ordered That yt shall not bee Lawfull for any other than plowe Cattle to bee turned out a nightes Until such Time as that time is expired of that Field that is Laied. Upon paine to forfeit for every offence made to the Contrary iijs iiijd [3s 4d] Item yt is ordered and agreed Upon by the Homage that Lammes shall not bee accounted as sheepe untill St Martin the Bishopp in Winter as they have a bine in former times . Item yt is Ordered and agreed Upon by the Homage that noe Farmers in this parish havinge any Lottes in the Common Fields and none in the Meadowe called the Hay shall putt any Cattell in Deanes and Brooke Field when the shall happen to bee several, but hee that shall have one Lotte in the Hay and one in the Common fields, yt shalbee lawful for him to Keepe one halfe of the Weeke in his Lott and the other halfe of the Weeke in the Brookes after the Two and Twentieth Day of July, Upon paine to forfeit for every offence made to the Contrary 3s 4d [Latin begins again here] Constables: William Hill and William Mayes, sworn men Supervisors of the Fields: John Osmond, Thomas Manton, Robert Hancocke, John Crouch, sworn men Heward: John Richardson, alias Guye, sworn man.
