Therefore they are amerced. As stray It was presented that a certain Horse of black colour came as a stray and remained within this demesne for half a year and a quarter and more and it is valued by the homage at ijs viijd [2s 8d]. Constables there: John Gostwyk and John Ryseley, sworn men, present that John iiijd [4d] Glenne drew blood from John Kyng, the common shepherd of this village. Therefore he is amerced. And that Robert iiijd [4d] Smalwood assaulted John Ryseley and Thomas Tottenham and drew blood. Therefore he is amerced. To this court came Johanna Ryseley widow and she holds one cottage with a garden from the lord and she pays ijd [2d] each year to the lord for free rent. Bakers Also they present that William iiijd [4d] Forde, Nicholas iiijd [4d] Cowper, Edward iiijd [4d] Perdoner, M iiijd [4d] Flower of Bedford are common bakers and they have broken the assize. Therefore they are amerced. Brewers And that John Glennes ijd [2d] wife is a common brewer of ale and has broken the assize. Therefore she is amerced Penalty It was ordered that each Tenant shall ring his pigs from time to time when it shall be necessary. Also that none shall root upon pastures neither those held in severality nor upon common pastures within this demesne, under penalty of forfeiture to the lord iijs iiijd [3s 4d].
