    52b Wyllyngton Halmoot of Lord John Wodeville, knight, and Katherine Duchess of Norfolk held on the day, on the day [sic] of Wednesday next after the close of Easter Sunday in the sixth year of the reign of King Edward fourth [16thth April 1466] Essoins Robert Bawdewyn was excused on this day by the community The homage: John Flaundrys John Terlyng[sic ] Henry Parker John Stones John Yerwey the elder Randolph Baudewyn John Mouborne Hugo Garnet John Tayllour Walter Yerwey Nicholas Waren’ Nicholas Cruce The sworn men present that John Sterlyng has a ruined pig-shelter with defective timber, roof and walls Penalty Randolf Bawdewyn should repair another pig-shelter on the holding, on the holding [sic] of Christopher Malton that has a defective roof. And that the said Randolph should repair one side [crossed out, of the barn] [annotated, of one room] in the holding of the said Christopher which has a defective roof. And that the said Randolph should repair part of one barn on the holding of the said Christopher which has a defective roof. And he has a day [appointed] for repairing them until the feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist [24th June] under a penalty of vjs viijd. [6s 8d] Penalty Also they present that the barn on the holding [crossed out, is defective] of Nicholas Cruce has defective timbers and he has a day until the next [annotated, year] that is to say, until the feast of Penetecost that is in the seventh year of the present king [May 17th 1467] under a penalty of vjs viijd [6s 8d]. Penalty Also they present that the room on the holding of Nicholas Waren is defective in timbers, roof and walls, and it is presented that he should repair them before the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, [15th May 1466] under penalty of vjs viijd [6s 8d]. Penalty And it is presented that the said Nicholas should make his enclosures between himself and John Flaundrys before xv [15] days under penalty of ijs [2s]. Penalty And it is presented that the said Nicholas should repair one malt-chamber which is defective in its timber, roofing and walls before the next under a penalty of vjs viijd [6s 8d] Penalty And that the barn on the holding of Hugo Garnet is defective in roofing. And that the side of the hall on the holding of John Waren’ is defective in timbers, wattling and roofing on the southern side, and it is presented that they should be repaired before the Feast of Saint Peter in chains [1st August] under a penalty of xs [10s] for each. Amercement ijd [2d] Also it is presented that William Couper ijd [2d] broke the hedges of Thomas Tayllour and took them away without permission. Therefore he is amerced. Tasters Amercement ijd [2d] John Flaundrys and Randolph Baudewyn, the tasters, present that John Morboune ijd [2d] does not want to sell ale by the gallon for one and a half pence and he buys a brewing for iiij [4] shillings. Therefore he is amerced. Deliveries of timber and underwood this year It was ordered that the bailiff make deliveries of timber and underwood for the repair of the tenement in John Rydy’s holding: ij [2] foundation beams, and vj [6] pieces of timber, for making vj [6] uprights and j [1] roof tree, and half a rood of underwood. Also ij [2] foundation beams and vj [6] uprights for the repair of one room within the holding of John Flaundrys. Assessors John Yerwey the elder, Randolph Baudewyn Sworn men Sum of this court [blank] In the expenses of the steward and others iijs iiijd [3s 4d] Sales of underwood this year x li viijs iijd [£10 8s 3d] The Bailiff sold this year vj [6] acres and a half [illegible] and x [10] perches of underwood priced at viijs [8s] an acre. Wherefrom he made delivery as tithe of half an acre, half a rood and v [5] perches and so there remains v [5] acres, iij [3] and a half roods net for the use of the Lord. Sum total x li viijs iijd [£10 8s 3d] Also the said Bailiff paid for lxij [62] perches this year for the Plashing from Sherehatch price per perch jd [1 penny] farthing.
