- Scope and ContentDetails given: -- a capital messuage with close of pasture adjoining; -- 3 cottages and gardens now converted into 2 messuages; -- a cottage and garden called Pond; -- a messuage and garden called the Dragon; all of which were late of Richard Sampson of Westoning; lying variously in Bedford in the parishes of St Paul and All Saints. The capital messuage and 3 cottages are between a tenement late of Nicholas Luke, esquire, and a close of Gilbert Smith, gentleman, called Clarivauts east and Colles Lane west, abutting south on Well Street, and the close abuts north on All Hallows green. Pond cottage and garden are between Colles Lane west and the said close east, and abut north on the king's highway. The Dragon is between the close and toft late of Richard Ryseley on either side, abutting north on the king's highway and south on the Saffron ditch.
