Common fine xijs [12s] amercement ijd [2d]
They present that they gave xijs [12s] as common fine this day. And that the Prior of Newnham [annotated 'a day'] and Simon ijd [2d] Kyng made default and therefore were amerced.
A bullock, stray, valued at xxd [20d] swarms of bees valued at xd [10d] the bailiff is answerable
Also they present that one bullock valued at xxd [20d] was taken into the liberty about the feast of St. Martin in the second year of Henry’s reign [10th November 1414] [annotated 'as a stray'] and a proclamation was made and none came. And it remained in the keeping of the bailiff, answerable to the lord. And one swarm of bees valued at vjd [6d] came within the liberty of the lord as a stray. And it remained in the keeping of Robert Fesaund answerable to the lord. And that one swarm of bees valued at iiijd [4d] came within the demesne of the lord as a stray and it remained in the keeping of John Rudlond answerable to the lord.
Amercement xijd [12d] penalty
Also they present that James iijd [3d] Milys, Alic’ iijd [3d] Rutour, Gilbert iijd [3d] Lokyer diverted water [annotated 'put right'] at Le Fybdych outside the right course, causing a nuisance. Therefore they are amerced. And they were ordered to put them right before the next [court] under a penalty. And that the miller iijd [3d] took excessive tolls against the statute. Therefore he is amerced.
Amercement xjd [11d]
John Bande and John Warner, constables, present that Amicia Hoppere justly called the hue on John iijd [3d] Crook by the pledge of the constables, and that John vjd [6d] lately shepherd of Henry Yarwey and William Wryght assaulted Joan Crakewell against the peace, by the pledges of Henry Yarwey and William Wryght. Therefore he was amerced. And that the same Joan justly called the hue on the same John ijd [2d] by the pledges of the aforesaid.

William Rydere and Robert Myton, tasters of ale, present that John vjd [6d] Goffe constantly, Thomas ijd [2d] Rydere ij [2], John ijd [2d] Gostwyke j [1], John iiijd [4d] Bande ij [2], Geoffrey ijd [2d] Palmer j [1], Felicia ijd [2d] Prentys j [1], brewed and sold ale and broke the assize. Therefore they are amerced.
Days penalties
Also the aforesaid sworn men present that John Rydere has one ruined Insethouse , John Ryder the younger j [1] grange, John Treket one pigsty, John Goffe one malt kiln, ['Richard Lytfot' deleted] William Wryght one room and Thomas Tele one grange, ruined and defective. And it was ordered that they should put them right before the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist [24th June] under a penalty for each of them of vjs viijd [6s 8d].
Penalty incurred, that is to say xijd [12d] penalty to be raised
Also they present that certain orders were made at the last Court that no head of tithing should permit any bullocks to run at large to destroy the corn of their neighbours. And that they are to be tied by cord and stake from the feast of St. Bartholomew [24th. August] until the feast of St. Michael [29th September] under a penalty of iijd [3d] paid to the lord and iijd [3d] to the church. And now it was found by the aforesaid sworn men that John Yarwey, John Rodland, John Rydere, and John Palmer have made against the aforesaid orders, therefore they merit the aforesaid penalty and were ordered to raise the aforesaid penalty for the use of the lord

John Crook was amerced for a suit which [he has] with John Gaubryel in a plea of debt.
Grant heriot j [1] sheep valued at ijs [2s] the bailiff is answerable, premium xxd [20d] fealty
Richard Lygtfot who held one Messuage and one virgate of land and meadow from the lord, according to the custom of the manor, came and surrendered the said tenement into the hand of the lord. After which surrender a new herriot of one sheep valued at ijs [2s] became due to the lord and remained in the hand of William Wryght, answerable to the bailiff. And afterwards in the same Court came the aforesaid William Wryght and he took the aforesaid holding from the lord. To be held by the same William and Agnes his wife for the terms of their lives, according to the custom of the Manor, at the will of the lord, rendering and making therefrom to the lord, annually, just as the aforesaid customarily rendered and made. And the said William and Agnes will maintain, sustain, repair and put right the said holding at their own expense. The lord will provide large timber for them as is necessary to sustain and repair the said holding. And they are not allowed to sublet the holding, or part of it, without permission from the lord. And he provided pledges to repair and put right the said buildings, that is to say, John Warner and Thomas Sterlynge. And he gave xxd [20d] as premium to the lord. And made fealty.

At this Court the lord granted one Messuage and j [1] virgate of land which lately was held by John Crakewell to William Daye. To be held by the same William and Agnes his wife for the term of their lives according to the custom of the Manor. Rendering and making annually therefrom to the lord just as the aforesaid John customarily rendered and made. And the said William and Agnes will maintain, sustain and repair the said holding through the pledges of Thomas Sterlynge and John Abel, taking large wood from the lord as was necessary. And they gave xijd [12d] as premium to the lord. And they made fealty.
Grant, herriot j [1] horse valued at vjs viijd [6s 8d] and half a horse valued at xld [40d] premium ijs [2s] fealty
To the same Court came Nicholas Mergrete and surrendered into the hand of the lord one messuage and eight acres of land and half a messuage and v [5] acres of land with appurtenances. After which surrender a new herriot for the aforesaid messuage and viij [8] acres of land of one horse valued at vjs viijd [6s 8d] fell due, and for the half messuage and v [5] acres of land half a horse valued at xld [40d]. And afterwards the lord granted the aforesaid Messuage and viij [8] acres of land with appurtenances to Thomas Sterlyng, to be held by the same Thomas for the term of his life, according to the custom of the Manor, rendering and making therefrom to the lord annually, just as the aforesaid Nicholas has customarily rendered and made. And the aforesaid Thomas will maintain, sustain and repair the said holding by the pledges of William Wryght and Richard Wryght taking large timber from the lord. And he gave the lord ijs [2s] as premium. And he made fealty.

At the same court the lord granted one messuage and half a virgate of land with appurtenances, which lately was held by John Cras, to Richard Lygtfot, to be held by the same Richard according to the custom of the Manor. Rendering and making therefrom to the lord annually just as the aforesaid John customarily rendered and made. And the said Richard will maintain, sustain, repair and put right the said holding through the pledges of John Gostwyk and John Warner taking large timber from the lord as was necessary. And he gave viijd [8d] as premium to the lord. And he made fealty.
Grant, premium vjd [6d] fealty
To this court came John Bande the younger and took from the lord half a toft and j [1] quarter of land which lately was held by John Cras. To be held by the said John Bande for the term of his life, according to the custom of the Manor, rendering and making therefrom to the lord annually just as the aforesaid John Cras customarily rendered and made. And he gave vjd [6d] to the lord as premium. And he made fealty.
Handing out wood
The keeper of Shirehacce handed out iiij [4] trees to Richard Baudewene, to Robert Akyrman ix [9], to Geoffrey Palmer vj [6] and to John Tele iiij [4] for repairs to their buildings. And it was ordered to them that they should put the said timber into the repairs of their buildings before the feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist [June 24th].
The twelve sworn men present that the tithing men, the constables and the tasters of ale presented well and faithfully and concealed nothing.
