    Assignment of Lease for remainder of term of 20 years, for 5 shillings and 'other good considerations': Samuel Adams of Alvescott, Oxfordshire, clerk, to Edward Carter of Alvescott, esquire, and Edmund Adams of the University of Oxford, apothecary. Recites original lease dated 12 May 1713 concerning the moiety of the Manor and Rectory of Stotfold [details given]. Considerations also include those expressed in an Indenture Tripartite dated 12 June 1705: (i) said Samuel Adams (ii) Elizabeth Adams (wife of Samuel Adams) and Goddard Carter (father of Elizabeth Adams) (iii) said Edward Carter and Edmund Adams.     Recites original lease dated 12 May 1713: Master, Fellows and Scholars of Holy Trinity in University of Cambridge to said Samuel Adams. The moiety of the Manor and Rectory of Stotfold, as it was divided between him and William Feild, gentleman; namely: -- the east end of the dwelling house containing the kitchen, parlour, chamber over the hall, chamber over the parlour, and chamber over the entry, the 'Girt Barne', stable and hayhouse, the little house next to the kitchen, the east side of the orchard abutting on the window of the hall 'strait unto the pond next to the Vicaridge', the east end of close abutting east on the common street, west on Darke Lane, north on close late Mr Rudd's, and south on the 'Great Ashtree'; -- a close called Charecroft (1/2 acre) lying next the close of Mr Rowland Lytten west, and the Common Fields east; -- 60 acres arable in the occupation of said Samuel Adams [no details]; -- half the yard; -- half the tithes of hay and grain growing in the fields and closes in Stotfold; -- 10 cow commons; -- and the moiety of the tithes, oblations, profits etc with the moiety of the rent of copy and free holders.
