recites surrender of copyholds to use of will
--- messuage in occupation by testator, Misses Jane and Ann Leach, Isabella Peel and James Shuttleworth, except cottage in occupation by testator used as a shop, adjoining the kitchen in occupation by the Misses Leach
to eldest son Richard
--- barn, cottage at east end of Colne, and 2 closes, Colnefield (5 acres) in occupation testator and Edmund Bowker, formerly called Swain barn and Swain fields
--- cottage in occupation as a shop
to son Joseph
--- remainder of real estate to trustees – James Ayrton, Colne, cotton maunufacturer and Robert Midgley, Colne, hat manufacturer to pay £10 annuity to wife Nancy, and ½ residue of rents and profits to son Richard, ½ to 2 daughters Mary wife of Henry Holroyd, Bradford, cotton manufacturer,and Susannah Shackleton, spinster, and on the death of wife to dispose of and divide as residue. Further £30 per annum to wife for life in lieu of dower
--- to executors all personal estate in trust to pay legacies: goods to value of £30 to wife and £20, £10 to daughter Ann Pool, wife of the Reverend Robinson Pool, £500 to be placed out at interest – interest on £200 to Mary Holroyd for life, principal and interest to her children after her decease: same (£300) for daughter Susannah.
