    This Manor seems to have included, if not coincided with, Ballingdon, i.e. the detached part of the parish of Whipsnade lying to the south of, and adjoining, the (former) Hertfordshire part of the parish of Studham. Several of the fields, etc (e.g. Blackwells) are found in the Tithe Apportionment of Whipsnade (detached part), 1842-44.
