- Admin/biog historyNote Eliza (1820-1857) was the 8th child of Richard and Maria Orlebar and was sent to India to marry her cousin Arthur Bedford Orlebar (1810-1866). In 1842 Arthur (son of Robert Charles Orlebar) was appointed Government Inspector of Schools at Bombay. They had one son( who died in 1845) and four daughters. Arthur Orlebar taught Richard Orlebar (1833-1920) and Salusbury Payne at Oxford as a Tutor in 1847. Richard went to Rugby in 1848. Arthur and his family moved to Australia in 1853. He became Government Inspector of Schools at Melbourne, Australia, where he died 11 June 1866 [Alumni Oxoniensis].
