    Known as the Charles Casey Lectures in honour of a previous head of the Youth Service, including: correspondence regarding first Lecture by David Lane, Chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality - “One Race - The Human Race” including chairman’s brief and sketch of speech; correspondence regarding second Lecture, by John Alderson, former Chief Constable of Devon & Cornwall - “Policing Freedom”, including refusal of Bedfordshire Chief Constable to attend following the speaker’s involvement in party politics and resumé of speaker’s career; correspondence regarding third Lecture, by David (later Lord) Young (future Conservative cabinet minister), Chairman of the Manpower Services Commission - “Preparing Our Youth for Tomorrow’s Jobs”, including memo regarding reservations of County Youth Officer due to the speaker’s alleged political appointment as MSC chairman and proximity of a General Election, also including a resumé of the speaker’s career and draft speaking notes for the speech.
