    Deed of Trust to Lead to the Uses of a Fine Parties: (i) William Baker of Feckenham [Worcestershire], gentleman and Martha, his wife; (ii) William Beckett of Bedford, gentleman; Francis Brace of Bedford, gentleman; Henry Lowen of Bedford, vintner Reciting: - Martha Baker was daughter and executrix of Elizabeth Walker of Bedford, widow, deceased and owned two of the three parts of (a)-(s) lately conveyed [leased or mortgaged?] to Edward Muns, late of Bedford, cordwainer, deceased in trust for Elizabeth Walker and was also seized of: (t)-(w); - R6/5/12/8; - William Baker, at the request of Martha, had agreed to join with her in settling her real estate in trust as in a deed of 15 October 1689 between (1) Abigail Muns of Bedford, widow and executrix of Edward; (2) William Baker and Martha, his wife; (3) William Beckett, Francis Brace and Henry Lowens in which (1), by request of (2) assigned and (2) confirmed (a)-(s) to (3) during the unexpired term assigned to Edward Muns deceased in trust Property: (a) land on the backside of the Swan Inn with the houses built thereon in the occupation of William Parker and Elizabeth Walker, deceased; (b) land on the backside of the Maidenhead with the houses built thereon in the occupation of Matthew Christie; (c) the Glovers Pitts adjoining (b) in the occupation of Henry Bisby; (d) houses on the backside of the Maidenhead in the occupation of Samuell Beckett; (e) an “Inward yard” and a garden in the occupation of Henry Beckett; (f) an inward yard with houses built thereon in the occupation of Oliver Boteler, esquire; (g) an inward yard in the occupation of Henry Bisby; (h) a garden in the occupation of Widow Simpson; (i) a garden in the occupation of Widow Merrill; (j) a garden in the occupation of George Tamberlaine; (k) a garden in the occupation of John Medburne; (l) a garden in the occupation of Samuell Burton; (m) a barn formerly in the occupation of Widow Benson then of Henry Smith; (n) a garden in the occupation of Henry Goodall; (o) a garden in the occupation of Francis Banister, doctor in physick; (p) a garden in the occupation of Henry Stevenson; (q) a garden in the occupation of Edward Sheffeild with the houses built thereon; (r) a yard on the backside of the Bell Inn formerly in the occupation of Widow Benson then Henry Smith; (s) “fishing or rushpand and benefit of the river or water of Owze” in the occupation of Nicholas Plivy; (t) White Swan Inn, Bedford, Saint Paul, formerly in the occupation of William Parker then Elizabeth Walker, now Henry Lowen; (u) Castle Hill; (v) Castle Close, where Bedford Castle formerly stood adjoining (v) containing four acres and lying near (t) in the occupation of Henry Lowen and lying between the River Great Ouse and Castle Lane with a piece of ground called the Bowling Green; (w) close of pasture called Naylor’s Close in Cardington in the occupation of Thomas Slade, formerly Edward and Thomas Naylor with a close of John Larkinson E and a close in the occupation of Widow Willimott W Operative Part: - William Baker, by request of Martha, covenanted with (ii) to levy a fine sur conizance de droit come ceo etc of (t)-(w) Witnesses: - William Hanley; - Alexander Bolton; - John West
