    Examination of Mary Parish, widow: About 50 years since she was married at the parish church of St Cuthbert in the town of Bedford to her late husband James Parish, now deceased. this deponent further saieth that she hath been informed by her said late husband and verily believes that he the said James Parish did 50 years since and upwards gain a legal settlement in the parish of Wilshamstead by living as a hired servant with Mr Chapman in the said parish of Wilshamstead. This deponent further saieth that for several years she received relief from the parish of Wilshamstead. During the time she has resided in the parish of Hornsey she has received a weekly sum of one shilling and sixpence as relief from the parish of Wilshamstead until about 5 years since. This Deponent further saieth that she hath not gained any subsequent settlement elsewhere and she is now actually chargeable to the parish of Hornsey. Order suspended as Mary Parish unable to travel due to sickness and infirmity. Second copy of removal order notes the death of Mary Parish by 21 April 1841.
