    Examination of Hannah Watford aged 72, widow at present residing at 4 Johns Place, Golden Lane regarding the settlement of her son Abraham and his lawful wife Sarah. She was lawfully married to her late husband John Watford at Wellingborough about 36 years ago. Her late husband belonged to the parish of Oakley by birth and apprenticeship, he having been born in the parish of Oakley and was also appreticed to his father Isaac Watford a carpenter about 67 years ago for seven years, and resided during the whole of his apprenticehip in the parish of Oakley. Her said husband was relieved by the parish of Oakley as a parishioner for several years. Her lawful son Abraham never did any act to gain a settlement for himself. Her son was lawfully married to his present wife Sarah at the parish of St Lukes about 4 years ago. Her son to the best of her knowledge and belief never gained a subsequent settlement. Abraham and his wife sarah are now chargeable to the parish of St Giles without Cripplegate. Her son is too ill to be removed at present. Order suspended as Abraham Watford too sick and infirm to travel. Reported to have died by 6 April 1841.
