- Scope and ContentExamination of Elizabeth Trolley: I am now living in the parish of Upper Stondon in the County of Bedford and am chargeable to it. I have only two children and the youngest of them is 22 years old and upwards and both get their own living. My husband is in the Lunatic Asylum at Bedford and never gained a settlement for himself that I know of. I understand his settlement and mine to be in the parish of St Peter, Bedford. The information of John Trolley: I am the father of Samuel Trolley who is now confined in the Lunatic Asylum at Bedford. He lately lived in and is chargeable to the parish of Upper Stondon. When he was 14 years old he was apprenticed to me for seven years and served me all that time and slept in my house in that parish all that time.
