  • Title
Letter from I Tulladay, 12 Southwick Street, Hyde Park Square, urging the recipient to take 2000 shares of East Wheol Rose, raising the money in any way he can. He should send over the £200 deposit, and the remaining £500 can stand over for a week or two. He can expect a clear profit of at least £2000. 'This [information] is from a friend.' With part of a letter from the same writer, saying that he had written to his friend emphasising that, as he was now acting for someone else, it was doubly important that he should not be misled in any way. The reply was: 'Have no hesitation, success is certain rampant.' Another letter, just received from Mr Dando, promises further fortune. Can he spare another £150? With a further letter from the same writer to G Pierson, enclosing the banker's receipt for East Wheol Rose, which has been a great success. He called on Mr Dando about the other business, but he was not at home.
