- Scope and ContentDeed to lead to the uses of a recovery Parties: (i) Thomas Dew of Hertford [Hertfordshire], carpenter, only son of Thomas Dew of Bedford, yeoman, deceased; (ii) Samuel Adey of New Inn [Middlesex], gentleman; (iii) John Archurch of Bedford, distiller Operative Part: - in order to bar, dock and cull all estates in tail and all reversions and remainders and to settle (a)-(b) absolutely on (i) he released (a)-(c) to (ii) for 5/- so he could become tenant in a common recovery in which (iii) sued him by a writ sur disseisin en le post, (ii) vouching to warranty (i) who would vouch to warranty the common vouchee Property: (a) two messuages in Bedford, Saint Paul in the High Street for many years in the occupation of William Devereux and John Marshall, now John Hornbuckle and John Shellard; (b) messuage and garden in Castle Lane for many years in the occupation of John Knight; (c) one acre of meadow in Fenlake Meadow, Cardington, formerly in the occupation of Richard Stratton, now Thomas Walton Witnesses: - Henry Horton; - Griffith Morgan; - William Prowse, clerk to Serjeant Belfield; - Arthur Covinton at the Cherry Tree alehouse, Bedford
