- Scope and ContentHe has a witness there that had the wheat from his father in law for labour. He lent the witness some money, who told him he could not pay as he was going to have some wheat from his father in law instead of money. The witness told him he was to have part of the flour because he could not pay and he agreed. John Burr of Wilshamstead, labourer - he had been at work for his father in law who had some wheat and said he might have that as payment. On 15 February he was going to take the wheat down to the mill. He saw his brother and said he might have some flour for the money he owed him. His brother said he did not mind. He told the mill to take the flour to Burr at Duck End and the bran to John Bennett. The wheat was grown on Mr Pepys land. Bennett did not sell al lthe wheat grown on Mr Pepys land. His brother went to the mill. John Bennett of Wilshamstead, labourer - he let his son in law have 3 bushels of wheat grown on the land he rent. His son in law took the wheat 3 or 4 days after he said he might have it. He gave him leave to take it about 6 weeks ago next Monday.
