At Ampthill Petty Sessions held on 10 February 1870 Henry Kempson was adjudged to be the father of a male bastard child born to Sarah Redman of Upper Gravenhurst and ordered to pay her certain sums of money - had given notice of his intention to appeal against the order at the next Quarter Sessions.
