- Scope and ContentCopy will of Elizabeth Bromsall, wife of Thomas Bromsall of Biggleswade, esquire: - reciting R6/5/5/51; - appointing Francis Brace and William Beckett as trustees to permit her daughter Elizabeth Haselden during her widowhood, to enjoy the profits of Mary Risely’s real estate devised in trust to Brace and Beckett and, if she married again, Brace and Beckett were to hold the properties on her behalf; after the death of Elizabeth Haselden, Brace and Beckett to convey the properties to the testatrix’s granddaughters Elizabeth and Katherine equally; - devising her house in Bedford, Saint de Merton and the adjoining house in the occupation of William Risely, her servant, together with the malthouse, kiln and kilnhouse, yard, orchard and little close of pasture and the cottage in the occupation of Robert Langford to William Risely and his heirs and, in default of heirs, to her daughter Mary Throgmorton and her heirs; - devising the residue of her real estate to Mary Throgmorton and her heirs; - bequeathing the personal estate of Mary Risely to her trustees to realise and give to her daughter Elizabeth during her widowhood; - appointing her daughter Elizabeth sole executrix if she were a widow, or Nicholas Aspinall, clerk, George Wagstaffe, maltster and William Risely as joint executors if she had married again; - instructing her daughter to pay a legacy to the testatrix’s granddaughter Elizabeth Haselden of £100; - instructing her daughter to pay a legacy to the testatrix’s granddaughter Katherine Haselden of £50; - instructing her daughter to pay a legacy of £40 of William Risely; - witnesses: John Bamford; Philip Negus; John Pepiatt
