    Reciting: Will of John Bull of Bedford dated 13 October 1865, his death on 9 September 1870, and the proving of his will; at the time of his death he was seized of an undivided third part of property hereinafter described and also entitled absolutely to the other two equal thirds of the same, one of these thirds being comprised in an indenture of demise dated 23 October 1719 and the other in an indenture dated 6 September 1722; mortgage assigned by indenture dated 12 December 1812; repayment of £50 and assignment of mortgage by deed dated 8 May 1878; interest in principal of £550 and term now vested in John Day, Benjamin Bull and Frederick Payne; legacies and debts of John Bull fully paid; Sarah Bull (widow of testator) died on 17 September 1875; Will of John Richard Bull made 25 July 1876, appointing 1) as his executors and trustees; death of John Richard Bull on 10 April 1880, and proving of will on 11 June 1880; at the time of his death he was seized of premises and terms herein, and 1) have agreed with 2) for the sale to him of premises (subject to the mortgage for £550) for £900 and that 2) shall retain £250 out of the purchase money to be applied on the repayment of the mortgage; all interest due has been paid NOW In consideration of £650 paid by 2) to 1), 1) convey to 2) - moiety of the late John Richard Bull in one third part of a messuage or tenement or shop known as no.49 High Street in the parish of St.Paul, Bedford, bounded: W: High Street N: messuage belonging to John Coventry Campion, formerly known as the Ram Inn S & E: shop, messuage and premises belonging to and now in the occupation of George Hawkes - and also of all that building formerly used as a washhouse, now as a privy, and the ground whereon it stands, and the passage leading thereto, situate in the lower or back yard formerly belonging to the said Ram Inn over or near the common sewer there, and adjoining to a building formerly used as a stable and many years since converted by John Bull into and now used as workshops With liberty of ingress and egress to and from the privy through the yards; also free use in common with others of the pump and well standing in the yard formerly belonging to the Ram Inn; and right of foot, horse and barrow way over the passage known as Ram Yard leading from High Street to Castle Hill Subject to repayment of principal sum now owing on the security of the indenture dated 12 December 1829 - also the interest of John Richard Bull in the other two thirds of the premises and two terms of 1000 years comprised in the indentures of 23 October 1719 and 6 September 1722 Endorsed: Receipt by 1) to 2) for £650 Witnesses: Alfred White, Clerk to Messrs.
