    Property mortgaged: (a) parcel of garden land in Lower Caldecote in the parish of Northill containing 13a 3r bounded on the north by land of Allen Jeeves, east by the great North Road, south by land of Messrs Hogge and Lindsell, and west by land of Ebenezer Marshall subject to a right of way 15’ wide on the north side to the two pieces of land above mentioned. The second skin is endorsed with an Assignment of the mortgage dated 24 Dec 1867 from Charles Powers/Clitsome Musgrave to Charles Powers involving conveyance of the mortgaged premises to Thomas James Hooper of Biggleswade, gent., in fee to the use of Charles Powers in fee subject to equity of redemption. The first skin is endorsed with a reconveyance of the mortgaged premises dated 11 Oct 1878, Edmund Powers and George Race, both of Biggleswade, gents.(devisees of the will of Charles Powers, who died on 28 Apr 1873 and which will was proved at Northampton D.P.R. on 26 June 1873) acting in place of Charles Powers. Witnesses to the three indentures are Thomas J. Hooper of Biggleswade, George Cobb, clerk to Powers & Sons of Biggleswade, Arthur J. Hills of Hooper & Co., solicitor, J.C. Musgrave of Taunton St. James (Som.), and Gibbt. Haynes, clerk to Mr. Hooper.
