    Parties: (i) William Inskip of Lower Caldecote in the parish of Northill, gent. (ii) Robert Lindsell of Biggleswade, gent., and Thomas McGrath of the same, surgeon. Recites desire of (i) to make some provision for his wife Elizabeth and his agreement to settle the land below to the uses and trusts declared. Witnesses Conveyance (operative words being grant, bargain, sell, alien, release and confirm) from (i) to (ii) of: (a) capital messuage or tenement and farmhouse of (i) in Lower Caldecote with the yards, barns and appurtenances belonging (b) several parcels of arable, meadow or pasture land of (i) in Lower Caldecote containing 54a Habendum to (ii) to the uses and trusts declared viz. to (i) and his assigns for life, remainder as follows - (a) and the orchard or parcel of meadow or pasture ground adjoining the garden belonging to it to his wife Elizabeth for life in case she survives (i) and the residue of the land to the use that Elizabeth and her assigns, in case she survives (i), shall after his decease receive and take for life an annuity of £100 charged on the premises (with provisions for proportional payment to her executors etc in the event of her dying between specified payment days, and declaration that the provision for Elizabeth Inskip is for her jointure and in full bar and satisfaction of all such dower and thirds to which she would otherwise be entitled at common law or by custom), the land charged with the annuity to (ii) for 500 years from (i)’s decease sans impeachment of waste upon several declared trusts (to secure payment of the annuity) determinable upon Elizabeth Inskip’s death and proper settlement of the annuity as specified, remainder with the residue [i.e. the uncharged land] to (i) and his heirs and assigns in fee.
