- Scope and ContentHe is about 22 years of age, was born at Elstow. Some time after Michaelmas 1806 he went to live with John Lilburne of St Paul, Bedford, victualler as boot boy and waiter for which service he was to be found board, lodging, washing and what money he might receive of the Company coming there. He continued in said service till Michaemas 1812. About 12 weeks before Michaelmas 1813 he let himself to Mr John Palmer of Wellingborough in the County of Notrhampton, liquor merchant as a general servant for the wages of three guineas till the ensuing Michaelmas. At Michalmas 1813 he let himself for a year to Mr Palmer at the wages of 13 guineas whose service he is now in and has not done any act since to gain a settlement to the best of his knowledge. He was married yesterday morning at the parish of St Cuthbert to Ann Brittain.
