He was born in the parish of Northill, he is 23 years of age. On 1st July 1808 he let himself to John Harvey for a year at wages of twelve guineas. He continued in Mr Harveys service two years and the last year had 14 guineas wages. He has worked as a labourer ever since and not done any act to gain another settlement to the best of his knowledge or belief. He was married on Monday February 14th 1814 at St John, Bedford to Susanna Barker.
