  • Title
Letter from Samuel Whitbread to Joseph Eade asking him if he has 'accounted to the Parish of Cardington for the bastard [son of Alexander Taylor and Jemima Cox; see Z 575/28 - 38]. With a reply from Joseph Eade: Mr Townsend has not yet accounted to him for the £13 16s [which Mr Paterson had been asked to send him; Z 575/38], so he is sending a draft for that amount to Samuel Whitbread himself. He had expected that Mr Paterson would have paid the £3 3s 0d which were Joseph Eade's charges. Joseph Eade has a demand against the parish of Cardington for £4 10s 6d in connection with the business.
