- Scope and ContentHe is 23 years of age, born in St Paul, Bedford, but his father belongs to Ravensden. When he was about ten years of age he went to live with Mrs Odell of St Peter, Bedford, farmer to drive the plough and do other husbandry business. He continued with Mrs Odell seven years. He lived and boarded in the house with his mistress and she found him clothes and gave him money occasionally but he had no regular wages the whole time he livedwith Mrs Odell. On his quitting Mrs Odells service he enlisted into the Bedfordshire Regiment of Militia and has ever since continued in the army without having done any act whereby to gain a settlement in any other parish to the best of his knowledge. He was married twelvemonths ago last Christmas to Mary Bull at St Paul, Bedford.
