Scope and Content
- to wife, Jessie Grace Kennedy, all pictures, prints, books, plate, linen, chattels and effects in house at Glenroy; £300 for immediate expenses
- to Isabel Kennedy of Fort William, Inverness, widow of late brother William Kennedy, annuity of £50 as long as widowed and annuity of Kenneth Kennedy on his death
- to Kenneth Kennedy of Leanachan, near Fort William, Inverness, annuity of £100 and annuity of Isabel Kennedy on her remarriage or death
- to Mrs Elizabeth Shannon, mother of wife, annuity of £50 so long as widowed
- to Miss Douglas Shannon, at present residing with testator and sister of wife, annuity of £50 as long as unmarried
- to Miss Mary Eleanor Shannon of Clarence River, New South Wales, also sister of wife, annuity of £50 as long as unmarried
- to Miss Jane Shannon, also of Clarence River and sister of wife, annuity of £50 as long as unmarried
and when one of the wife's sister's marries, their annuity to be divided equally among those sister's still unmarried
- to nephew John Angus Cameron, son of Ewen Cameron, deceased, during widowhood of testator's wife, annuity of £100 to be applied by trustees during minority as long as wife has £1000 per annum from the estate, if she has less, then proportionate reduction in amount to nephew
- to wife, for use and benefit of Duncan Kennedy Patterson, now residing in Glenroy and aged 8, annuity of £70 during minority and after wife's death annuity paid to trustees of Duncan. If Duncan reaches 21 after death of testator's wife, then legacy of £1000 on reaching 21, if wife still alive, she is to use her judgement as to whether he is worthy
all real estate to use of wife, Jessie Grace Kennedy, brother, Duncan Cameron Kennedy, now of Scotland, Lachlan McKinnon esq., formerly of Melbourne but now on a visit to Europe, and Charles McAlister Shannon of the Clarence River, New South Wales, esq., as trustees to sell
to above trustees, all money, securities for money, goods, chattels, credits, sheep, cattle, stations held under licence from the Crown, leasehold estates and all other estates, to convert into money upon trust to pay debts, legacies, etc, and to invest remainder in shares of which all interest to wife until death or remarriage and then half to brother, Duncan Cameron Kennedy and other half to nephew, John Angus Cameron
