    He is 35 years of age, was born at Halifax, in North America where his father was a Sergeant in the 14th Regiment of Foot. He came to England with his father and on 21st July 1791 he put himself apprentice by Indenture for six years to Thomas Dexter of Kettering in the County of Northampton, tailor. A sum of fifteen pounds was paid as an apprentice fee by his Uncle Thomas Cross of Kettering and the duty paid thereon. He served out the whole of his apprenticeship in Kettering with his Master. This examonant has since worked in several places in London as a journeyman tailor but has not to the best of his knowledge or belief done any other act whereby to gain a settlement in his own right. He was married on 10th instant at St Paul, Bedford to Eleanor Pryor.
