  • Title
Letter from James Wortham to Eade & Hawkins replying to Z 575/74. He had already examined the original will to check the accuracy of the copy. He estimates the value of the 30 acres in question at £2000, and £1000 left as a security should surely leave no room for objections. As he is 'sufficiently master of the case', he cannot consent 'to leave the Question to any Councel to say what should be done'. Mr Partridge will enter into a covenant with Mr Whitbread as a warranty on the title and will pay a fine on the doubtful part of the estate in addition to the indemnity. He repeats that Mr Whitbread must accept the title as it is or give up the contract.
