    William Newton of Bushmead in the parish of Eaton Socon - he was in his father's house at Bushmead about 12pm that day. He was carrying beer to some people in the parlour and as he was coming out he saw Thomas Dawson take the standing iron from a nail in the house. He asked Dawson what he was going to do with the iron. Dawson was putting it into his pocket. He took the iron away from him. Dawson said "here is a jacket too". The waistcoat was within the jacket. He laid the jacket and waistcoat on the table. There were a great many people in the house. Thomas Dawson - he was very fresh when he went into the house. The iron and the jacket were in his way and prevented him sitting down so he took them off and laid them on the table.
