- Scope and ContentWilliam Byers Graham of Sharnbrook, superintendant of police - from information received he apprehended Samuel Bailley and John Tunn. When Tunn was in his custody he confessed that both he and Bailley had taken the potatoes that Mr Hooson had lost, intending to roast and eat them when they were at work in the spinney. The quantity of potatoes taken away was about 2 bushels. He said they felt they had done wrong and had moved them back into the garden and intended last night to take them back into the house. John Tunn and Samuel Bailley - said they had taken the potatoes, but not with the intention to steal them.
