- Scope and ContentHe is employed by Mr John Sanders. On Friday morning he saw Fanny Chapman go to three shocks of wheat standing in a field occupied by John Sanders at Kempston and take some wheat from each shock. He was about 100 yards off in the same field. He cannot say how much she took. There was a girl with her but he did not see her take any. She took about half a handful from the three shocks. He sat on the stile and saw her. She took the wheat away with her. He hollowed at her and she ran off. He did not follow her. The shock was about 5 yards from the cart road.
