- Scope and ContentHe is 24 years of age, was born in the said parish of St John. He was put apprentice by the Bedford Charity on 8th April 1800 to James Barns of Baldock, County of Hertfordshire, plumber and glazier for seven years (which indenture is now produced). He served the whole of his apprenticeship with his master at Baldock. He has not done any other act to the best of his knowledge or belief whereby to gain a settlement. He was married ofn the 11th instant at St John to Mary Impey.
