- Scope and ContentBorn at St. Paul’s, where father Henry, was a parishioner. About Lady Day [25 March] 1800, was bound apprentice by Harpur Charity to William Dawes, All Saints, Northampton, for term of 7 years. Served Dawes at Northampton for 3 months when, on account of his master’s ill usage he ran away from him and returned to his father in Bedford, with whom he remained for about 3 weeks. Father then took Examinant back to Dawes who received him. Examinant remained with Dawes for further 2 months or so when, because of Dawes continued ill usage he again absconded and never subsequently returned to Dawes. Removed by Orders.
