- Scope and ContentBound apprentice, by Indenture now produced, dated 1 May 1783, to Benjamin Dutton, St. Peter’s, cordwainer, for a term of 7 years. Served Dutton there for about 3 years, when Dutton quitted St. Peter’s and was succeeded in business by Lewis Haupman. Was not formally turned over by any Deed but served Haupman, with Dutton’s consent, for the remainder of the 7 years term. No premium or gratuity paid to Haupman on Gammon’s being bound to him. No other subsequent settlement. Married Elizabeth Wootton at St. Paul’s, 1 January 1795.
