- Scope and ContentBorn at Luton, where his father was then a parishioner. When he [i.e. William Bull] was aged about 7 years, his father moved place of residence to Pavenham. Stated that he had heard his father say that, about 9 years previously, whilst living in Pavenham, he had rented some Read [Reed] Beds from various individuals at a rent of £10 per annum and that he had held them under this arrangement for a year. Also, whilst at Pavenham, his father had inherited a house and land situated there on the death of the Examinant’s [i.e. William Bull’s] grandmother, which he sold about 3 years later to Mr. Nowell, Pavenham, for 70 guineas. No other settlement. Married Frances, spinster, at St. Albans Abbey, Herts., March 1794. One child: George, aged 12 days.
