From May 1958 the business traded from 9 Herne Close, Toddington until 1964 when the company moved to The Birches, Wainholm Gardens, Park Road, Toddington. The records contain information on the company’s financial affairs and on its suppliers, customers and employees. The invoice books hold particular interest as they also give an insight into the local history of Toddington and its surrounding area. More generally, the collection represents a rare example of an archive of a local small business in the second half of the twentieth century
