    Richard Beeby of Keysoe, labourer - yesterday afternoon about 4pm Busby and another man passed his house. He went to the door to look after them and saw the prisoner take the waistcoat now produced from William Linger's hedge. He then went after Busby and asked what he was going to do with the waistcoat. Busby said he thought it was nothing but an old rag and of no use as it had not got buttons on. He took Busby into custody and gave the waistcoat to William Linger's wife. Joseph Whiting of Keysoe, labourer - the previous morning Busby came to his house begging betwen 12 and 1pm. Soon after he heard a robbery had been committed at Little Staughton House. About 4pm Busby again passed his house in company with another man. Thinking they might be those who committted that robbery he followed them and took hold of Busby, who then had in his hand the waistcoat now produced. Richard Beeby then came up and took the waistcoat. he took Busby to the Public House. On the way there Busby said "I'll beg pardon if you'll let me go". William Linger of Keysoe, labourer - the waistcoat now produced is his. Benjamin Busby - "I thought the waistcoat belonged to no one".
