I was born in the parish of Little Addington in the County of Northampton on 27th June 1816 and am the son of George Abbott now residing in the parish of Lowick, County of Northampton, carpenter, and Sarah his wife. My father is a settled inhabitant of Lowick where he was born and about ten years ago served the office of constable for the said parish of Lowick. I have done no act to gain a settlement in my own right. I was married on Sunday 16th July instant at Mr Matthew's Chapel in Conduit Street, St Paul, Bedford to Elizabeth Smith of the same parish, spinster.
